New Orleans, Louisiana – 13 Tourists got more than what they bargained for when setting out on foot to learn about the French Quarter’s dark past. They didn’t make it four blocks before being robbed by a ghost pirate brandishing a flintlock pistol.
Detective Mark Carrier urged the public to come forward if they had any knowledge regarding the whereabouts of the ghost responsible. In a press release, he said, “We know a lot of you are scared to come forward. Snitches have frequently received stitches from the daggers and cutlasses of the vicious ghost pirates roaming the Quarter, but I will do everything in my power to keep your identity secret…but let’s be honest, there’s only so much I can do to keep you safe from the paranormal.”
This latest robbery is just another in a string of robberies to plague this historic district. A witness who refused to go on record told The Push Pole, “He just appeared out of nowhere. He didn’t even want our credit cards. All he took was our jewelry, even the rubber band bracelet I got from a 5K. What’s a pirate going to do with that? The crime in this city is really getting out of hand when even the ghosts are robbing you.”
